  2. Helloooo Teacher! Since my point of view, think that is important to have some characteristics of every single type of teacher, hope that the one you take are the good ones, and those help you to develop an excellent class; as an example I think that being a jungle path teacher, is to be more dynamic, spontaneous, and creative, but also is important to have some previous plans and ideas, as a super ready teacher at least a plan A and B, because that also show to your students that you are taking seriously your job as a teacher and then they would be committed with the class. On the other hand, for me being a stick to the book teacher would be so boring without matter age or type of class because as well as the book is a resource for your classes you cannot transform it in the class, just used as an element and tool for the students learning; taking into account the shopping list, I think I would not follow this type because for me just brief notes doesn't mean something that would be useful for working on, I would use longer and understandable notes, because that would give me a clear knowledge of what I want it to do in the class, and as last one and no least important, being a corridor planning I think that might be sometimes good but sometimes dangerous, because is excellent that you have ideas for planning your class, so then you would project in your mind what you wanted to do , and as well as you project it you will know how to improve your class session but you are also taking the risk to forget everything, because not everything that we might think stay in our minds as long as we want so then you will arrive to your classroom with doubts and disconcerting about what to do and that would be awful because you are the teacher you are the supremacy authority and person to follow in the classroom

    2. I think that yes he or she is, because is the person in charge of saying what to do , even if It is a task class for students develop their ideas and opinions, as we learnt in the last module, that activity would be commanded by the teacher,... Maybe he or she won't be the supremacy authority if the students get uncontrolled, and they do what they wanted to do, or just no follow the class

  3. I like what Nicholas said! I found this topic very interesting, how different people's minds work, some may have superb memories/creativity and can be corridor planning, the jungle path or the shopping list teacher, on the other hand some may not have such good memories (such as me) and would have to write everything down, which would be the super ready, or other who are just not creative at all and are stick to the book teachers. Overall I think it's good to have a combination of them all plus it's kind of impossible, in my opinion, to try to stick to being one kind of teacher, as we said in class unexpected things may occur and you'd have to be the shopping list teacher as a one off but its good to be prepares as Nicholas said which shows you care about your work and just in case any unexpected things happen.

  4. Hey guys. Great thoughts. I agree that as teachers we definately should adopt a mixture of these types. For me, in the beginning, i would want to be very prepared because i tend to get nervous and i wouldnt want my students to know that i was nervous. So having what i want to teach and how very solid in my mind will help me to appear far more confident. I cant wait to put these into practise :)

    1. That's great, Erin. No matter what your class is about, having a planner is definitely necessary. We will discuss that tonight :)

  7. Hi Everyone,

Indeed, sooner or later we may have to experience all the different types of teacher (as seen in the module) according to the circunstancies. However, it's very important to do our best in order to be prepared and ready for work. This is part of our professional development and placed us in a good standing. Just as the Proverb says: The plans of the diligent surely lead to success.

  8. To begin with i think that planning is a must. In order words its like building a house. If we don't have a blueprint then how are we going to build the structure? the same applies in the classroom. If we choose to be shopping list teachers (keep in mind we don't have experience) our classes are going to be very disorganized, we won't really have any idea what were doing and our students wont be able to trust us. I think its safe to say that as we gain experience we can dabble with each kind of teacher and create our own style depending on the needs of the students.
